Fixed Weather Station

The Weather Station is a complete fixed mast mounted weather data collection system. It contains a barometer, thermometer and hygrometer in a single enclosure, an anemometer (wind speed & direction), and a rain bucket. The weather station is a polled serial device. That is, the weather station has no memory to store data. It transfers data when requested by the host device that is connected to the weather station via its serial (RS232) port.

The weather station receives DC power via the supplied 100 foot data/power cable. Each end of the cable has a DB-9 data connector (which connects to the weather station and the host computer), and a DC power connector (which connects to the weather station and the power module). A 110Vac wall mount AC to DC power module is provided for the DC power.

The included Windows software provides a visual display to all the sensor readings plus many calculated values. You can also write your own weather station software using a simple ASCII command code.

The MSRP is US $675.00 which includes:
Anemometer, Rain bucket, Enclosure (containing the microcontroller, serial port, temperature, humidity & barometric pressure sensors), 100 foot data/power cable, mast mounting hardware, and 110VAC to DC power module.
