High Speed Data Link between a MultibusII system & Encore computer HSDII

The MBHSD board from Applied Data Sciences provides a high speed, bi-directional link for transferring control, status, and data between an Intel MultibusII system and (a) any 32-bit external device using the Gould/Encore HSD protocol, or (b) the Gould/Encore HSD board, or (c) another MBHSD board.

Features:
  • Fast Transfers - The data transfer rate is typically greater than 3.5 MBytes per second.
  • Data Path Options - The MBHSD supports data transfers across the MultibusII LBX or PSB Bus.
  • Data Formatting - During data transfer, the MBHSD hardware can reformat the words by:
    • Byte Swap
    • Word Swap
    • Word and Byte Swap
    • Pass the words straight through
  • HSD Compatibility - The MBHSD performs transfers with any HSD compatible device.
  • IBL Compatibility - The MBHSD performs transfer to and from the HSD board.
  • Field Proven Design - The MBHSD is based on ADS's field proven PC and VME bus products.
  • Easy Installation - The MBHSD is a standard 6U board.
  • True emulation of the HSD (in both the HSD & IBL mode) controlled by the MultibusII.
  • All features are software selectable. No switches or jumpers to set.
