Portable Weather Data Collection Unit

The DaqPod is a high precision, battery powered, hand held, pocket size weather data collection unit. It contains a barometer, thermometer and hygrometer. The unit can send real time, polled weather sensor data to a PC laptop or desktop computer via its RS-232-C port. Using an optional cable, the unit can also send real time, polled weather sensor data to a Palm PDA via its serial port. The DaqPod is also an ultra low power device. The unit operates from a standard +9 Vdc battery or the included 110Vac wall power supply.


NOTE: The DaqPod is not waterproof so it must be shielded from direct contact with water. The Microsoft Windows Operating System [NT(sp6)/2000/XP] software performs other calculations; such as air density, density altitude, and etc. The optional Palm PDA software displays temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, air density and density altitude.

The selling price is US $149.00 for the DaqPod, 1 meter serial cable, power supply and Windows software. The shipping cost is $9.00 USPS Priority mail excluding AK & HI.
